Goad Property Accountants founder, Karen Goad, is a Brisbane-based Chartered Accountant with over 22 years experience assisting property investors and developers with the tax side of their property portfolios.

Starting as an accountant in 1998, Karen became a qualified chartered accountant in 2002. Goad Property Accountants was founded in 2013, to provide a tailored service and more efficient results for her clients, and embrace a flexible work culture for herself, her family and her employees.
Karen is a passionate supporter of property investors, recognising their unique drive to build security, wealth & long term income for themselves and their families. Supporting small business owners also via a specialised small business division, BusinessSpark. Karen is motivated by problem-solving, innovation through processes, implementing new systems to improve efficiencies and technology. Karen is motivated to get the best outcomes for her clients whether that relates to tax savings, business structure or general efficiencies.
Karen’s clients understand that a tax accountant is an integral part of developing a successful and efficient investor portfolio and property development business. Karen is a Xero advisor and is Xero payroll certified.
Brisbane-based Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, who are her motivation for creating Goad Property Accountants and flexible work culture. Karen enjoys coaching her children’s sports teams, gardening and creating new entrepreneurial activities.
Michelle started working for Goad Property Accountants in 2014. Michelle is a qualified accountant, Xero advisor and Certified Practice Accountant (CPA) with over 22 years’ experience in Brisbane-based accounting firms. With her dedication to high quality work, and her motivation to provide exceptional service to clients, Michelle has been an invaluable team member since the beginning. Michelle has a high attention to detail, and a commitment to providing value for clients. Michelle has a caring and dedicated approach to her clients.
Michelle grew up in NSW and moved to Brisbane for University and to commence her career in Accounting, working for several Brisbane city mid-tier firms gaining invaluable experience with property investors, developers and small business clients. Michelle has two young children and enjoys visiting family in NSW and swimming.
Suni started working for Goad Property Accountants in 2016. Suni is a qualified accountant, Xero advisor and Certified Practice Accountant (CPA) with over 10 years’ experience in Brisbane-based accounting firms. Suni has become a master of SMSF administration, helping clients streamline their record keeping and keep on top of their SMSF obligations. Suni is an invaluable communicator, helping clients understand their obligations. Suni brings a friendly and down to earth approach.
Suni moved to Australia from Sri Lanka with her husband and two children. Suni enjoys spending time with her family and travel (when the borders permit) back to Sri Lanka for family, Bali and other warm holiday places.
Jen started working for Goad Property Accountants in 2019. Jen is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Accounting, that has provided our team with amazing amount of efficiency. Jen has a drive to learn and masters new skills quickly. She is incredibly organised, efficient and brings an incredible conscientious attitude to the team. Jen looks after property investors and undertakes our bookkeeping for small to medium businesses using Xero & MYOB teamed with ReceiptBank. Jen is a Xero advisor and is Xero payroll certified.
Jen lives with her sister and enjoys spending time with her family and travel.
Carina joined our team as Administrator in 2019. She supports a close-knit, efficient team, providing integrated, proactive services to property investors, developers and small to medium business clients. Coming from a background of banking and finance roles, Carina always makes sure that client enquiries are dealt with promptly in a friendly, and professional manner.
In a nutshell, she helps our team get on with what we do best – assist our clients in achieving their property goals. Outside of work, Carina enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
